We organized an outdoor meetup which was a one-day tour with vegan buffet. After the announcement, all 60 seats were quickly filled.

On the day of departure, there were concerns about heavy rain in the morning which could potentially cause inconvenience or even cancel the trip. However, we were fortunate to have lighter rain after lunch, and upon arriving at Sunny Bay, there was no rain and the weather was pleasant. We spent about an hour or two walking and enjoying the pristine and unadorned scenery in the distance.

During the journey, we visited two places, including Tsuen Wan where we saw three houses with carefully arranged furnishings, providing insight into life over a hundred years ago.

Lunch was served buffet style as there are no vegan buffets in Hong Kong. We chose a vegetarian restaurant that operated in a self-service mode and requested that all animal products such as eggs, milk, and honey be removed for us. On the condition that we booked all 60 seats in advance and the owner of the restaurant kindly removed all non-plant products. We were grateful to have a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Some may feel that our requirements were overbearing and an attempt to change the way people operate. However, as a vegan who do not consume eggs, milk, or meat, we have specific requirements. Many individuals choose to live a vegan lifestyle for various reasons, such as allergies or environmental and animal welfare concerns. The vegan lifestyle has become a global standard, with vegetarian foods containing eggs and milk gradually being replaced with plant-based alternatives such as plant eggs and milk. The food we consumed during the tour was entirely vegan, and there was no discernible difference in taste or quality.
